Traveler Arrested At Airport Because Breast Implants Should Not Be Packed With Cocaine
Though there are plenty of horror stories out there about people getting crazy or dangerous substances implanted by way of dubious medical procedures, stuffing breast implants with cocaine brings things to a whole new level of nuttery. And as it turns out, it’s not a good way to smuggle drugs, as one traveler recently found out.
Police in Madrid say a Venezuelan woman arrived at the airport along with other travelers on a flight from Colombia, but something about her just didn’t seem… right, reports The Local.
“During a check of passengers from a plane from Bogota, the gestures and behaviour of a supposed tourist raised the suspicions of narcotics agents,” police said in a statement.
While a search inside her luggage came up empty, female officers searched her body and found “certain irregularities and deformations in both breasts.”
That um, thorough frisking made the suspect act a bit twitchy, and she “confessed that she was carrying implants with cocaine inside,” officials said..
Cops took her to a nearby hospital, where the implants were taken out. Inside? A filling of 1.7 kilos of cocaine.
And this isn’t even the first time — back in December 2012 a woman arriving in Barcelona from Colombia had 1.4 kilos in her implants, the Local notes.
Yet another reason to say no to drugs — they could’ve been inside someone’s body. Gross.
