Reminder: It’s Impolite To Shoot A Deer With An Arrow At Your Local Car Dealership
So you’re at the car dealership perusing vehicles and mulling the difference between Space Ghost Gray and Ghost Rider Gray when fwiiiiiiip! — an arrow zings past and takes down a nearby deer. What an awfully rude customer, you might think. And you’d be right, one car dealership was none too happy when a guy allegedly shot a deer with a bow and arrow on the premises.
A Colorado Springs, Colo. car lot turned into that scene in The Hunger Games, except instead of a forest and a pragmatic yet inspiring teen heroine, police say it was a Lexus auto dealer and a man who is a soldier and a former Olympian, reports Fox 21 News. He apparently competed in both the 2012 and 2008 Olympic Games as a Greco-Roman wrestler.
Back to the deer hunting: Police arrived on the scene after a report last night of a man trying to shoot an arrow at Bambi, and found both the deer — which the man did manage to hit with the arrow, so Katniss would approve — and the suspect.
The 39-year-old was cited but not arrested for misdemeanor charges, and is facing charges that he violated several hunting and wildlife violations by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
And now that deer will never fulfill its dream of buying its first car. Sniff.
