Longtime commenter, and honorary Consumer Reports labcoat owner, GitEmSteveDave needs help. He wants to sing a parody version of Rebecca Black’s “Friday,” except about “Black Friday.” He’s a gifted an enthusiastic singer… the one thing he’s missing are the lyrics.

If he gets the lyrics written, GitEmSteveDave has promised to shoot a video of himself singing them, in the style of Rebecca Black’s vocalizations. This is a worthy cause, on multiple levels. To help inspire anyone interested in improving our society through the power of parody verse, here are the lyrics for the original Friday song.
