Remember when Sony said its downed PlayStation Network would be back up in some form sometime last week? That didn’t happen, and now that the outage nears the start of its fourth week, Sony is astutely getting more vague in its promises.

On the PlayStation Blog, a Sony spokesman says it will be “at least a few more days” until services go back online, and that there is no exact date as to when things are expected to be up and running again.

It’s probably time to start a pool to see who can guess the date online play, friends list access and the like once again become part of PS3 owners’ lives. When do you think the PSN will rise from its ashes?
