With so many online dating sites and apps to choose from when seeking the love of your life/tonight, newcomers on the scene must make sure to set themselves apart. One way of doing that? Immediately informing potential customers that only rich people are allowed on your app.

Luxy is a new dating app that lets users know right up front that it only wants to connect the Richie Riches of the world — the “successful and attractive” people like millionaires, supermodels and celebrities, notes CNN Tech. The 1% need help finding each other, it seems.

“With the rise of high-speed digital dating, it’s about time somebody introduced a filter to weed out low-income prospects by neighborhood,” Luxy’s CEO (who apparently wishes to remain anonymous due to the controversial nature of the app) said in a press release with the title, “Tinder minus the poor people.”

But the company spokesman is all about embracing the controversial nature of Luxy, saying that while the app doesn’t ask people for income verification right now, that feature is in the hopper.

Instead, Luxy just serves as another way for people to judge each other, so it’s up to you to believe if that investment banker is as rich as he looks like he is.

“If you show up in a 20-year-old VW Bug, and request to meet at McDonald’s, you won’t last very long on Luxy,” Luxy’s spokesman told CNN. “Look, these members drive the best cars, hang out at the fanciest hotels, live in the biggest houses, wear the best clothes. It doesn’t take long to weed out those who belong on a different kind of dating site.”

Potential romance is urged by way of users selecting their favorite expensive brands like Prada and Cartier so you can bond with potential dates over your love of the finer things, and ostensibly matches will be accompanied by a gentle puff of air smelling like cash. That last part I made up, but think would be a nice added effect.

Next up for those averse to Luxy’s app: A dating app that only allows people who are not currently “shopping for affluent people” in the neighborhood. It’s called Everybody Else Would Prefer Not To Date You Anyway, Snob.
