Wisconsin Man Uses All 43 McDonald’s Sandwiches To Create “The McEverything”
Why eat one McDonald’s sandwich when you can combine every single one on the menu and call it a day? Sure, you might not be able to get a taste of each one in a single bite, but no one has an latching-and-unlatching snake jaw and so instead, we can just admire the towering feat of 43 sandwiches one Wisconsin man recently constructed in the name of “Heck, why not. Let’s do this.”
The fellow from Wauwatosa (Insider tip: pronounced Wa-wa-toh-sah or just Tosa) explains on his blog Dude Foods that he has a food bucket list. None of that “sky diving, swimming with sharks or other death defying feats of adventure that you’d find on most typical bucket lists,” he explains.
At the top of his? Building a sandwich consisting of all 43 sandwiches on McDonald’s menu and calling it… The McEverything.
He explains the reasoning behind his decision to hold off on this feat until now, saying he just didn’t want to put anyone out.
“Honestly, I figured that if I went into a McDonald’s location and ordered 43 different sandwiches — which is how many the fast food giant offered as of the writing of this story — that they’d either think I was totally insane or just completely hate me for having them make so many different sandwiches as part of just one order,” he writes.
Once he decided he could no longer defer this dream, he says the staff at McD’s was actually very supportive of his attempt — “and even seemed a little excited to see just how tall the McEverything turned out to be.”
Using a lot of bamboo skewers and determination to hold the whole thing together, the McEverything finally made its debut on this plane of existence we call our own. And while he admits he didn’t even try to chow it all down in one sitting, he doesn’t see it as a waste of food, time or the $140.33 he spent on the endeavor.
“The way I see it though is that with all the leftovers I have I’ve got all my breakfasts, lunches and dinners covered for the next week or so!”
Have I ever been prouder of my home state? Perhaps when I learned about the inventor of the cheeseheads, but this claim to fame is one Wisconsinites won’t soon forget.
