Golden Corral: Food In Dumpster Video Wasn’t Served; Father Of Employee Tried To Sell Video To Company For $5K Image courtesy of Golden Corral claims these ribs found out by the dumpster were never served.
“A video was recently posted showing an incident of improper food handling at our Port Orange, Florida location. None of these items were served to a single customer,” reads a statement from Metro Corral Partners to Consumerist. “All were destroyed within the hour at the direction of management… The manager involved in the improper storage was terminated for failing to follow approved food handling procedures.”
Metro Corral also claims that the employee who made the video actually participated in the disposal of the food.
The more scandalous accusation made by Metro Corral is that, “The following day, the father of the employee posted an offer to sell the video for $5,000, which was not accepted.”
There is now an entire Sub-Reddit dedicated to this topic in case anyone wants to follow along.
