Returning To Pay Restaurant Check A Week Later Is A Nice Move Unless You Decide To Pick A Fight
It’s not always easy to do the right thing, but one man’s conscience apparently kicked in a week after he’d walked out on a restaurant bill. He came back to pay the bill which is great, good for him and all of that — but then allegedly got belligerent with the eatery’s staff while doing so.
According to the Northwest Florida Daily News, it all started when the man walked out of a Buffalo Wild Wings without forking over the money for his bill. Lo and behold, a week later he walked in and said he wanted to pay his check.
Somewhere along the way, cops say the guy got feisty with the staff and was asked to leave. He allegedly refused several times and wouldn’t leave until a police officer forcibly removed him from the establishment.
The arresting officers noted that the man had a “strong odor of alcohol on his breath” and appeared to be “slow and lethargic” with slurred speech and a general appearance of not being quite with it.
All told, his bad deed turned good deed turned bad again resulted in charges of disorderly conduct and trespassing, and a May 7 court date to settle things once and for all.
