Wendy's Black Label Burgers Have Cheese & Guacamole Instead Of Whiskey
Hoping for a zing of whiskey in your burger? Wendy’s Black Label burgers might make you think of a certain Mr. Johnnie Walker but instead of booze, these sandwiches are just offering some “high-end” ingredients to lure customers in.
The L.A. Times says the burgers are “in the very early stages,” according to a Wendy’s spokesman. Two of the new items include the Bacon Portabella and Spicy Santa Fe, and will go for just under $5.
So what are these magical, fantastical ingredients which earn the Black Label? Mushroom sauce, Muenster cheese and guacamole. Okay!
Fast food restaurants have been tripping over themselves to compete with the burger joint next door, as chains like Wendy’s keep upping the fancy line with things like Dave’s Hot ‘N Juicy and “W” burger.
Steak ‘N Shake is one of the most recent casual dining chains to up the fancy ante, opening an outpost in New York City with a new, organic “Signature Steakburger.”
