How About A Very Good Sparkling Rosé For Only $8?
Consumer Reports recently dipped their snifters into a batch of sparkling rosés and found that you don’t have to spend much green to get one that will keep you in the pink.
For instance, they rated an $8 bottle of Yellow Tail Sparkling Rosé Bubbles “Very Good,” just one slot behind the highest “Excellent” test result echelon. Also tops was a $12 bottle of De Bortoli Emeri Pink Moscato, especially if you, or your valentine, prefer slightly sweet to the Yellow Tail’s off-dry.
(Curious how Consumer Reports tests wine? Here’s a letter from Jim Guest, the president of our publisher, Consumers Union, explaining how.)
