Maybe there’s something about the Arby’s name, perhaps it has something to do with being in the same town as the Indianapolis Speedway, or maybe it’s just a coincidence, but two Arby’s restaurants have been hit by cars within a span of just two weeks.
The most recent was last night when a car came through the front wall of the restaurant, The Indy Channel reports, doing significant damage to the front of the building but not hitting anyone inside.
Before that on July 29, an SUV crashed into another Arby’s in town, this one a bit farther from the Speedway on the city’s south side. Officials said a U-Haul truck was pulling into the restaurant’s parking lot and didn’t see the SUV, sideswiping it and pushing it 60 feet across the lot and straight into the restaurant.
Three customers were sent to the hospital with minor injuries, and the restaurant suffered an estimated $30,000 in damages.
It could have been worse, however; it could have been the same restaurant, like the New Jersey Wendy’s that had two cars smack into it in a span of three months last year.
