Pizza Hut’s Hot Dog Crust Has A Vegetarian Cousin, And It’s Back
Did you find news coverage of Pizza Hut’s Hot Dog Bites Pizza kind of intriguing, but you don’t like meat or don’t care for hot dog slices? Good news: Pizza Hut has brought back their limited-time “Cheesy Bites” pizza, which is possibly for people who like stuffed-crust pizza but wish it were easier to pull apart.
At least, that’s the only reason we can think of for its existence, but we are also exceedingly fond of cheese. This pizza has been available before, most recently in 2014 as part of a promotional tie-in with that summer’s rebooted “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie, but here’s what makes this year’s version different: instead of regular old pizza crust cheese logs, you can add any of seven of the chain’s new crust coatings to the bites on your crust.
Left off the list of available crust flavors for the cheesy bites is the Parmesan, which is unfortunate. If there’s anything this product needs, it’s more cheese. You can get Ranch, Smokehouse BBQ, Hut Favorite, Salted Pretzel, Honey Sriracha, Fiery Red Pepper, or Garlic Buttery Blend, though, and all of the sauce drizzles are also available.
Like on its Hot Dog Bites cousin, there are 28 of the little built-in appetizers surrounding the pizza. It’s only available in a size large, for $11.99. We don’t know what the end date is supposed to be, but the pizza is available now.
