We’ve told you before about restaurants that established bans on screaming youngsters, kids under 6 years of age, and anyone younger than 18. Now a Houston restaurant has decided that after 7 p.m., diners need to be at least eight years old to get in.

In a short/sweet Facebook post on Monday [via chron.com], Houston’s La Fisheria restaurant announced:

After 7:00 pm, people over eight years old only.
For your understanding,
Thank you.

We are a familly friendly restaurant, and we also respect all of our customers so we introduce this new policy to the restaurant.
thanks for your understanding.

And the response from customers seems to be overwhelmingly positive, with most Facebook comments applauding the decision.

“Children are annoying,” reads one reply. “I have 2 nieces and 1 nephew… they are loud and whenever we go to a resteraunt my dinner is ruined by the atmosphere of screams and running around. I support La Fisheria’s decision 100%.”

“I would like to see more restaurants have this rule,” adds another person. “People don’t go out to eat and pay good money to do so, to listen to or watch someone else’s kids running around out of control or screaming at their table. Good for You La Fisheria!!!”

You know she’s serious by the use of three exclamation points.

There are, of course, some who disagree with the policy change.

“I find it ironic they say family friendly, when the new rule is anything but that,” reads one comment in opposition to the ban.
