EA Will Have Another Chance To Botch A Game Release With SimCity For Macs Coming In June

Let the games begin, again.

Let the games begin, again.

Fresh off the heels of its two-peat as Consumerist’s Worst Company In America with the 2013 win (nominated and voted on by you, our dear readers), Electronic Arts is giving itself the chance to botch yet another game release with the impending launch of SimCity for Mac users on June 11.

The company announced the news in a blog post yesterday, noting that customers can pre-order the game starting today.

One tidbit sure to sweeten the pot somewhat for Windows users who also have a Mac — those who already purchased the game for PC can also download the Mac version at no extra charge.

The steam hasn’t stopped pouring from PC gamers’ ears over the disastrous launch that was the new SimCity last month, so it’ll be interesting to see what EA has in store for players this time, or if it’s learned absolutely nothing from the customer service nightmare it put fans through.

On that note, EA tweeted that it’s finally been able to restore Cheetah speed, after disabling it in the game to take pressure off its already overloaded servers.

We’ll be waiting with breath that is absolutely bated until June 11. If you really want to do better, EA, now’s your chance.
