When the price drops on a non-refundable airline ticket after you bought it, you should get a refund on the difference, right? Actually, only a few airlines agree with that and they have varying policies…

Airfarewatchdog has done the hunting for you so you don’t have to wade through the fine print. They’ve arranged the airlines policies in handy chart form for you to reference.

For instance, it’s not publicly disclosed anywhere, but JetBlue will refund the difference if you ask for it. Virgin America and Airtran give credits good for one year, and, no surprise, Spirit doesn’t give any refund or credit.
