It Has Come To This: Scented USB Drives
Add another body to the pyre of useless USB port innovations, Maxell’s “AromaDrive,” a line of scented flash memory sticks.
Reader Anson said he did a double-take when he spotted these in Shopper’s Drug Mart. “Finally, I was wondering when someone would invent this,” he writes. “Oh wait, no I wasn’t.”
At first I thought that the drives were like Glade PlugIns for your computer. Nope, they’re just regular flash drives coated in scent-laden plastic.
The USB drives are available in 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and 8GB, Apple, Strawberry, Chocolate, Lemon, Orange and Mint. And at $25 for a 4-gig stick, this smells like a bad deal.
