Sony's PlayStation Phone Comes to Verizon on May 26
PlayStation fans, take heart. Your need to game on the run could be satisfied on May 26, the U.S. launch date for Sony’s Xperia Play smart phone–a.k.a. the Playstation Phone.
The first “PlayStation certified smartphone” will debut on Verizon Wireless for $199 with a two year contract. Its physical features, including dedicated PlayStation-like control buttons, match what was unveiled in February.
Seven games, such as Madden NFL 11 and Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior, will come pre-installed on the phone with another 50 titles available through Verizon’s V Cast mobile store. Sony, however, didn’t say if the Xperia Play or future PlayStation phones will have access to the relaunched PlayStation Network.
Verizon plans on taking pre-orders for the PlayStation phone tomorrow. Will you be on line for one?
