The same ingredients you can use to make your own laundry detergent at home can be used to make your own dishwashing detergent, also at home.

Just combine 1 cup of Borax with 1 cup of washing soda, says dollarstoremom. Add 1 drop of regular dishwasher detergent, or even laundry detergent, before adding to your dishwasher. Bingo bango bongo, you got mad cheap dishwashing detergent in a jiff.
