The owner of a Philadelphia-area pizzeria got served a slice of cold, hard justice yesterday when he was caught allegedly trying to release mice at two competing pizza shops.

The man was first noticed walking into one pizzeria in Upper Darby, PA, where he went straight to the bathroom carrying a bag. Sensing something suspicious, that restaurant’s owner looked in the bathroom after the man had left and noticed footprints on the toilet.

He looked in the drop ceiling and found a plastic bag wrapped around a brown paper bag. Thinking it might contain drugs, he showed it to two police officers eating at the restaurant. They opened it up and found three white mice inside.

The man was then spotted entering another pizza place with another bag under his arm. Police later discovered that he had placed that mice-filled bag in the second restaurant’s garbage can.

The suspect, subsequently identified as the owner of a recently opened pizza joint down the road, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, harassment and animal cruelty.

In other news, a huge but friendly rodent, apparently answering to the name of chuck, was recently spotted singing and dancing with children at another area pizza restaurant.
