Make Neat Symbols In The Comments
Do you wish you could make neat symbols like < in The Consumerist comments? Here’s how!
Commenter larrymac pointed out using left angle brackets make your browser think you’re making HTML and will ignore everything after the bracket. So what you can do is use something called an “HTML entity.” Whazzat?
Type &X; and replace the X with the appropriate HTML entity. For instance, to make < show up, replace the X with lt. To put in “your 2 ¢” replace the X with cent. A longer list of HTML entities can be found here.
Have fun and remember to only use this power for good.
