You Make The Call: Puke-In-A-Cab Edition
Believe it or not, we value your opinion — especially on icky topics like having to clean up your own puke from the back of a taxi.
Here’s the scene:
A guy throws up in the back of a cab in Brooklyn at 11:30 p.m. on a weeknight. Trying not to be a complete A-hole, he tells the driver that he’ll clean up the mess.
The cab pulls over and the guy gets to his task. A few minutes later, he realizes that the driver has left the meter running the whole time.
The irate, puke-y passenger gets ticked off. Words are exchanged and the passenger (allegedly) punches the driver in the face, cutting his lip and sending him to the hospital for stitches.
Cops come and guy is arrested for second-degree assault.
Obviously, there’s no justification for the situation devolving into fisticuffs. But we want to hear your opinions on whether or not the driver should have kept the meter running. And suggestions on how this problem could have been resolved more amicably.
