Starbucks Testing Weekend Brunch Menu, Plates Of Waffles Image courtesy of cws.
If you’re a fan of brunch, the most important meal of the weekend, would you consider going to Starbucks for it? The chain really hopes so, and is rolling out a test of brunch food in the Pacific Northwest: waffles and quiches that are available only in the morning and early afternoon on weekends.
Waffles at Starbucks aren’t new, but dedicated fan and unofficial website owner Starbucks Melody in Seattle found this new version, the “sweet Belgian waffle,” extremely delicious and hopes that they’re added to the permanent menu nationwide.
At the moment, the waffles are being tested in 78 restaurants in Washington state and Oregon, and Melody was able to confirm some locations around Seattle that have them.
Technically, those test stores are really testing a new project called Weekend Brunch: it’s part of a wider brunch menu with special baked items. The brunch menu is only available loosely from 8 AM to 2 PM on weekend days, which may include holidays, since a man in Washington state tweeted a photo of his waffle on Labor Day.
