Dogs Left In Running Car Shift It Into Drive, Plow Into A Walmart Image courtesy of WSAZ
A dog owner in West Virginia did what she probably thought was the responsible thing while out with her pets, leaving them in the car with the engine running while she was inside Walmart. However, in one of the best arguments against automatic transmissions that we’ve ever seen, the dogs shifted the car and drove it very slowly into the outside of the store.
The vehicle was first spotted by an employee out in front of the store on a break, according to local news station WSAZ. She thought that someone was “messing with her” when she saw the sedan inching toward her. She saw that there was no driver behind the wheel: only two dogs. She got out of the way, letting the car crash into the building.
Since the small dogs couldn’t reach the gas pedal, the crash was at an extremely low speed, and there was very little damage to the car or to the store.
The owner explained to police that she just wanted her dogs to stay cool while she was inside the store. Instead, the rebellious pups shifted the car and opened the window.
