On more than one occasion we’ve reported on the miracle of birth taking place not in a hospital, but in a Walmart parking lot or inside the big box store. Over the weekend, an Arkansas woman took a slightly different approach, giving birth at another local retailer: Sam’s Club. 

KFSM reports that a woman delivered her baby yesterday afternoon while shopping at a local Fayetteville Sam’s Club.

Employees say they called 9-1-1 when the woman went into labor, but that her baby simply wasn’t going to wait around for the ambulance.

Instead, EMS officials say the workers took the woman to the restroom, where they were talked through the delivery.

Sam’s Club, which is owned by Walmart, tells KFSM that the mother and baby are both healthy.
