Cops Pose As Pizza Delivery Guys To Arrest Robbers Using Stolen Credit Card
This is a lesson that a trio of idiots in Berkeley, CA, recently learned after being arrested by cops disguised as employees from a local pizza joint.
Here’s how the whole mess went down, according to the berkeleyside.com…
Earlier this week, a man was robbed by two armed morons around 1 a.m. Monday. The robbers stole the man’s backpack and disappeared.
Shortly thereafter, the victim soon found out that his stolen credit card had just been used to order some pizza, so he called the police and let them know.
The cops contacted the pizza place, posed as delivery drivers and went out to bring the customer a pie with a side of arrest.
When the disguised officers arrived at the delivery address, they found they’d been given a bogus building number. So they called the phone number that had placed the order and said, “Hey, we got your pizzas.”
The suspects exited a house down the street. Police attempted to detain them, but the young men were able to flee back into the building.
Cops surrounded the home and spent about 20 minutes waking up the whole neighborhood at 4 a.m. while the suspects remained inside, pizza-less.
The trio, two of whom are minors, eventually surrendered and were arrested on suspicion of robbery, violating a court order, possession of stolen property, and being armed with a firearm during the commission of a felony.
