McDonald’s: That’s Not A Lizard In Your Sandwich, It’s A Chicken Vein
“The sample collected is 100% chicken,” a rep for the company said in a statement. “The vein is white in colour because of the Halal slaughtering process where blood had to be drained.”
The chicken meat used in these sausage patties comes from Malaysia. The company rep says that McDonald’s could find no other instances of chicken veins or other quality issues in the batch of meat related to the patty in question.
McDonald’s says it is providing the lab reports to relevant authorities in Singapore.
