Worst Company In America Round 3: AT&T Vs. Facebook
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… a young man with big dreams took down the Death Star in his X-wing starfighter. Can history repeat itself today, as Facebook’s precocious billionaire takes on the dark lords of the AT&T empire?
AT&T has had a relatively easy go of it in early tournament play. In the first round, it choked out Verizon with pure will power, taking nearly 78% of the vote and proving it didn’t need to become the nation’s biggest wireless provider in order to become its worst.
Apple proved to be slightly tougher competition for AT&T, but perhaps enough readers were won over by the warm glow of their new iPad’s display. In the end, more than two out of three voters picked AT&T.
Seemingly every living organism on the planet has a Facebook account, but that doesn’t mean they all “like” the company. The website’s first round competitor, Sprint, barely registered as a blip on readers’ radars, allowing Facebook to win with a vote differential greater than 60%.
And in spite of the U.S. Postal Service’s decades of incompetence and nearly insolvent financial state, nearly 3 out of 4 voters chose to de-friend Facebook when the two were paired up in the second round.
Both competitors have been picking up a head of steam moving into this round — but which one will slam into the wall and which one will keep on chugging into the semifinals?
Voting is fun. Do it below and do it before the clock runs out.

As we mentioned when announcing the Round 3 contenders, we want to add some suspense to the remaining contests so the results will stay hidden until we post the four victors on the morning of March 29. So be sure to check back Thursday morning to see if your least-favorite made the cut.

The prize packages includes the usual T-shirts and coffee mugs, but also our own Laura Northrup will knit you a little something nice. Go HERE for details.
