Oh, wacky Walmart! If it’s not someone getting pepper sprayed on Black Friday, it’s a jab from a syringe needle: Multiple customers in Georgia are claiming they’ve found needles in clothing from Walmart, and in some cases, were stuck by those needles.

A 14-year-old spoke to local 11Alive News, saying she was stuck in the finger and foot by a needle while trying on pajamas her mother had bought for her on Nov. 22.

“I felt something stick me in the finger and I was like, ‘what is that’?” she told the station. “That’s just unbelievable,” she added, “whoever would think of doing that is like, crazy.”

Another woman at the same Walmart claims to have been jabbed by a needle in the same week, authorities say. That shopper says the syringe poked her while she was checking out a package of bras she’d opened for the right size. The store’s manager directed her to the hospital to be tested for AIDS and hepatitis.

“I’m thinking in my mind, you hear all the horror stories about the drug stuff; you pass out, and people can rob you,” she said. “Everything started going through my mind. Whose arm was this in; whose body – was this a used needle; am I going to die based on this being in someone’s body? I’ve been on a rollercoaster all weekend.”

And in a third case, police said the manager of that Walmart location had reported a woman finding another used or broken syringe in some pants, but that she wasn’t stuck by it. A fourth incident was reported last week as well, with a needle in some socks that also didn’t hurt anyone.

Oh, and it keeps going! The Sheriff’s Office says Walmart has found other syringes in even more items at the store, and are investigating. to see if anyone can be found on surveillance tapes placing the syringes.

The woman who was jabbed in the finger by the needle will have to go back to the hospital in six months for more testing, and she says the store won’t pay for it if the needle is found to have been placed by a random, non-employee.

Walmart spokesperson Dianna Gee said that no other stores in the state or country have reported syringes, and that they have reached out to the woman who was jabbed.

“If any of our customers were harmed, we will gladly pay for any valid medical expenses.”
