Woman Arrested For Being Verbally Abusive To TSA Agents While Refusing To Let Daughter Be Screened Or Patted Down
A woman was arrested over the weekend at Nashville International Airport after her refusal to let her daughter be scanned or pat-down turned nasty.
“(She) told me in a very stern voice with quite a bit of attitude that they were not going through that X-ray,” an airport security officer, told police, according to The Tennessean.
“No, it’s not an X-ray,” she claims to have told the mom. “It is 10,000 times safer than your cell phone and uses the same type of radio waves as a sonogram.”
“I still don’t want someone to see our bodies naked,” the mom is reported to have replied.
As for the pat-down option, the police report states that the mom didn’t want her daughter to be “touched inappropriately or have her “crotch grabbed.”
TSA agents say she became belligerent and verbally abusive. The woman was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. She has since been released on bond.
