Do Not Try To Open Emergency Door During Flight
It’s rarely a wise idea to try to open the emergency door on an airplane, especially when it’s in the air. Passengers on a flight from Houston to Chicago Sunday received a definitive lesson in the subject when someone tried to yank a door open, forcing the pilot to divert the flight to St. Louis.
The Houston Chronicle reports the man walked toward the front of the plane, insisting he needed to get off immediately. The disturbance caused others to converge on the man. Two passengers and a crew member held him down until the flight landed, after which he was questioned.
No one on the flight was injured and officials have found nothing that indicates the event was related to terrorism.
