County Pulls Surprise Eviction On Georgia Man

A Georgia man who says he was up to date on his mortgage came home to find his belongings strewn across his front yard, neighbors picking through the property and, presumably, an eviction notice from the county.

WSBTV Atlanta reports the man has a letter from Bank of America verifying that his mortgage payments were current, and he thinks a copy of the letter somehow got lost on its way to the appropriate officials.

The man, who is sorting out the matter with his bank and the county, was able to keep some of his property because some neighbors stood guard near his stuff when he noticed it was getting picked over.

If your neighborhood has been hit with foreclosures, did any of them go down like this one?
