SWAT Called, Gunman Pissed Over Price Of Taco Bell Burritos
A SWAT team was called in to deal with a gunman who was enraged the price of Taco Bell Beefy Crunch Burritos had risen from their promotional price of $.99 to $1.49.
The man fired an air gun at the manager through the drive-through window, flaunted his semi auto rifle and pistol, and drove off. Police pulled him over and both sides exchanged gunfire but no one was hit. He then drove to barricade himself in his hotel room nearby.
SWAT arrived at the scene and a three-hour standoff with tense negotiating ensued. The suspect was arrested after police used tear gas to get him out of the room.
“The weird thing is,” the Taco Bell manager told the San Antonio Express-News, “He was here a week ago around the same time last Sunday. He yelled at me then too.”
There’s far better ways to express your displeasure over prices, like shopping somewhere else.
