New Firefox, Internet Explorer Browsers Compete For Your Love
Stepping up to compete with the latest version of Google Chrome, new versions of Firefox and Microsoft’s Internet Explorer are poised to continue the arms race to get you to see the internet through their distinctive sets of eyes.
USA Today breaks down the features the new Firefox and Internet Explorer browsers offer.
Improvements in IE 9 include increased tracking protection and the ability to pin icons on the Windows 7 task bar, while Firefox 4 offers simpler menus, increased access to add-ons and the ability to sync browser data across multiple computers via a mobile data that’s currently restricted to phones and tablets.
The story says IE dominates, with 57 percent of market share, followed by 22 percent for Firefox, 11 percent for Chrome, 6 percent for Safari and Opera’s 2 percent.
