Just Use "Block Caller" In Google Voice To Beat Fraudulent Debt Collectors

Using the “Block Caller” function in Google Voice is a far easier way to beat fraudulent callers than the one we described 2 weeks ago, says reader John.

Calls from any number added to this list won’t ring your phone and they get played the “disconnected or not in service” message. Whenever a scammy debt collector calls him, he just adds their number to his blocked list.

“I did this last year, as I was receiving multiple Debt Collector calls a day,” he writes. “I identified and blocked all those calls-and I did not receive another until many months later-and as a new one pops up (which is rare now), I block it and go about my business.”
