Producers Plan Movie About Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
Ever watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and think “Wow, this needs to be a movie?” No? Well, that’s because you’re not a Hollywood producer with the vision to find cinematic potential in giant Snoopy floats, shivering crowds and inane, scripted banter between bleary-eyed hosts.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers have convinced Macy’s execs that a movie will be a good idea.
“We are always searching for the next Miracle on 34th Street,” a Macy’s exec said, adding that the company is constantly approached by producers with pitches, but this one hit the mark. The movie will be “family-friendly,” and one concept involves the floats coming to life.
So basically, your dreams of an NC-17 disaster flick have been ruled out.
