Study Finds Verizon iPhone Downloads Slower Than AT&T Version
Verizon customers waited for years to get their hands on the iPhone, and a new study finds they use those waiting skills more than their AT&T brethren, because the Verizon model takes twice as long on average to download data.
Metrico, a mobile analysis firm, put the Verizon iPhone 4 through the paces and found it was not only slower than the AT&T iPhone, but also stodgier than other Verizon smartphones. The research also found that the AT&T and Verizon iPhones mysteriously loaded web pages at the same rate, despite the download speed discrepancy.
If you have a Verizon iPhone, how has the device performed for you?
