Home Depot Dispute Ends With Customer Being Punched In The Face
Police have arrested an employee at a Staten Island Home Depot after she allegedly popped a peeved customer in the face.
According to reports, the dispute began when a customer attempted to return a roll of electrical wire to the Home Depot. Store staff gave him the bad news that the item was non-returnable and the discussion escalated into an argument.
The customer’s son says that a female employee then made nasty comments to his dad before popping the 66-year-old in the face. He says his father was knocked to the ground as a result, leaving him with a bloody mouth and a few missing teeth. After paramedics took him to the hospital, he was diagnosed with a concussion.
“She’s an employee, she’s supposed to represent the place,” the son said. “It’s crazy.”
The Home Depot staffer was arrested at the store and charged with misdemeanor assault.
A rep for the hardware chain says, “We take this matter very seriously and we immediately launched an investigation.”
