Most Don't Trust Labor Unions Or Corporations
In the wake of labor union strife with the Wisconsin government, the population is slow to trust either unions or employers.
A report from the Pew Research Center found a 25-year low 45 percent of respondents hold favorable views of unions, while 47 percent view corporations favorably — also a “near-historic low.” The survey occurred Feb. 2-7 and included 1,385 adults.
The survey found many believe unions are a positive force for working conditions and salaries, but their efforts weaken companies’ ability to compete internationally.
