USDA's New Guidelines Finally Listen To Tyler

“If you read the document it really is what I’ve been saying for over 2+ years. The government realized, “What’s the point in recommending all this ultra-healthy Whole Foods type of food if NOBODY listens to us? Let’s just simplify it and listen to Tyler and what he’s been saying for two years: eat less of ANY food you’d like to start off with (and learn about nutrition as you go) and just move around.” – A tongue-in-cheek email about the USDA’s new dietary recommendations from Tyler Weeks who documented his weight-loss journey to less than 200 lbs on 344pounds.com.

Tyler continued, “Weight loss advice is only good if someone listens to it. If you tell people they can’t have pizza, they’ll ignore you and keep living “fat and happy.”

“I’m telling you, I’m going to start a movement in this country: eat the foods you want, just less, and move around. You’ll be healthy and happy as a clam,” said Tyler. “I had high blood pressure, severe sleep apnea, angina, and was just miserable. I have a clean bill of health now, and for example tonight I’ll be having Chick-fil-A…”

Haha, I love it! Special advisor to the President’s waistline, Tyler Weeks. It would work! I’m on a new weight loss kick and oddly enough just before the guidelines came out I started a new thing of skipping or only having a tiny dinner. I had been exercising hard every other day for the past two weeks but it was only when I combined it with the more drastic calorie reduction that the pounds started ticking off—3.8 lbs in 3 days so far.
