Politician Wants Warning Labels On Video Games
A congressman figures that if warning labels are good enough for your cigarettes and bug spray, they’re also suitable for your video games.
GamePolitics reports a California-based legislator introduced a bill that would create a Consumer Product Safety Commission rule mandating that violent games be slapped with a label that reads “WARNING: Excessive exposure to violent video games and other violent media has been linked to aggressive behavior.”
Unfortunately the dubiously researched label will not inform consumers that game discs are harmful if swallowed or used as suppositories.
