If You Like Free Papa John's, Pray For The Super Bowl To Go Into Overtime
Some people (read: me) would say there’s little reason to watch this year’s Super Bowl due to the general lack of Eagles-ness. But for those who are fans of Papa John’s pizza, at least there’s the possibility of free pizza to give them a reason to check out the game.
Since the Papa is the official pizza of the NFL, the company has decided to make an offer to members of its Papa Points loyalty program: If the game goes into overtime, you can get a free pizza.
Should the Feb. 6 game between Green Bay and Pittsburgh remain tied at the end of regulation time, all people who register for the Papa Points program by 11:59 p.m. ET on Feb. 5 will be awarded enough points to cash in for large, three-topping pizza.
Speaking of the Super Bowl, Consumerist will be Tweeting live during the game — not about the action on the field, but about the TV commercials, because we all know that’s the real main event.
