He thought he was golden but radio host Todd Schnitt had to check his carry-on unexpectedly because the baggage check template at the gate was one inch shorter than the one at check-in.
With fees now for even the first checked bag, it’d be nice if there was some uniformity to these things.
The takeaway: make sure your carry-on is 9 inches or shorter.
Todd didn’t seem super-miffed as his blog took the time to mention, “Schnitt generally has great service on United, and for the record they did not break his guitar.”
