Solid Gold Diamond-Encrusted iPad Sells For $190,000
The one thing the recession has taught me is that if you’ve got money, might as well burn it! And what better way to treat yourself to a little bit of luxury than with a $190,000 solid gold, diamond encrusted iPad?
All sarcasm aside (I only burn money when the heat stops working or I’ve had a bad day or it’s a month including the letter “A”), someone really is selling such a thing — rather, selling 10 of them.
Says British company Stuart Hughes, the creators of this bit of outrageous showy-offness, dubbed the Gold iPad Supreme (via CNN):
Encrusted with 25.5 cts of ‘I’F’ Flawless diamonds, a magnificent total of 53 individually set sparkling gems dwell beautifully in their solid 22ct Apple logo. The rear and screen surround are made from a single piece of solid 22ct gold, weighing an immense 2,100 grams. This most luxurious ipads appearance is outstanding even down to the precise polishing to reveal its most beautiful harmonious appearance. A magnificent combination of top of the industry technology and unrivalled craftsmanship was invloved in creating this masterpiece.
Of course, it’s the Wi-Fi and 3G, 64GB version.
Pardon me, I simply must get back to bedazzling my Motorola RAZR.
