Brad discovered that Radio Shack is much more thoughtful than he had ever imagined. They very thoughtfully sent him an e-mail to celebrate the anniversary of his last purchase. Or maybe they’re just having problems with their e-mail notification system.
It was just a year ago I purchased a USB hard drive dock from “the Shack” (Dec. 12, 2008) . I had the item shipped to the store since that was my free shipping option and the store was only a few blocks from my house. I received the usual confirmation emails, tracking emails… it was a relatively smooth transaction (I always fear going INTO a Radioshack, I almost always leave angry for one reason or another). I tracked the package and once it arrived at the store I called to ask if it would be available for me to pick up that day… and I did (Dec. 17, 2008). For me, this concluded my transaction with Radioshack.
Apparently not from their end, earlier this week (Dec. 9, 2009 – 1 year after the purchase) I received a “your transaction is now complete” email. I guess its nice they followed up. Perhaps Radioshack needs to hire a few more “your order is completed” emailers… as they are quite behind!
