Robert Downey Jr. says he gave up drugs after Burger King served him ” a cheeseburger so disgusting that it forced him to reassess his entire life.” The burger was so nasty that he suddenly felt like something terrible was going to happen to him, so he threw all his drugs into the ocean and has been clean ever since. One man’s complaint is another’s life changing epiphany, we suppose. [OK!]

PHOTO: Dell Breaks Your Laptop, Sends Replacement Full Of Pubes

Reader K’s call to Dell tech support for his laptop resulted in the tech helping him break a different computer, then sending him a replacement laptop full of human pubic hair. After diagnosing a faulty power adapter with K’s laptop, the Dell technician asked him to plug the malfunctioning adapter into his other, out-of-warranty Dell to confirm the problem. K was reluctant, but complied, and fried his old laptop in the process. To their credit, Dell offered a replacement; unfortunately, it had a full bush. Restaurant Gives 25% Discount To Birthday Diners, Writes "Bug On Food" For Reason On Check

A restaurant in Dubai gave a 25% discount to a party of birthday diners after they found four bugs in their food. Says a restaurant official, “The guys thought being friendly and having a joke about the environment would relax the diners because it was a birthday, but unfortunately it didn’t.” We sort of think after the second or third bug, you should probably just comp the meal—and then shut down the restaurant for fumigation.

Texas Roadhouse Steak Stuffed With Pubic Hair

Texas Roadhouse Steak Stuffed With Pubic Hair

Kevin Hansen ordered a steak at a Texas Roadhouse in West Bend, Milwaukee and bit into it. After three bites, he noticed something odd. A foreign object. It wasn’t a prize, or a coupon for a free drink. It was human facial hair, placed in his steak by cook Ryan Kropp. Hansen wasn’t the only victim of Koop’s follicle-spreading-spree. According to the criminal complaint, later that night Kropp placed hair in a second steak, turned to a co-worker, and announced, “These are my pubes.” The cook was charged with a felony count of putting a foreign object in food, punishable by a max of 3.5 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Beware ye, consumer, of the wrath of the underpaid restaurant staff.

How long before this is an episode of House? Workers in a slaughterhouse in MN have developed a new disease that doctors suspect is caused by inhaling microscopic particles of pig brain. The worker’s immune system attacks the particles, but then goes to work on the person’s own nerve cells because they’re so similar. [Washington Post via Kottke]
