Police: Chipotle Employee Hospitalized After Customer’s Hot Sauce Attack
In what plane of existence would a simple “good night!” prompt a person to hurt another? Apparently this one we live on, where a 25-year-old Chipotle employee received a bash in the face with a bottle of hot sauce for wishing a departing customer a good evening. Sigh.
The Seattle Police Department says the employee was sent to the hospital for stitches after the attack, reports KOMO News.
According to witnesses on the scene, the suspect was on the way out of the restaurant around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night, when the worker told him to have a good night.
That’s when the suspect turned around, either with a glass bottle of hot sauce already in hand or perhaps he reached for it at the moment, and hit the employee full in the face with it, causing multiple cuts to the victim’s face.
Officers caught up with the suspect later, covered in hot sauce and bleeding from his hand. He was arrested and later held on $50,000 bail.
C’mon, people. Just be nice to each other.
