Worst Company In America Round 2: Walmart Vs. Sears

WCIA2013HEADERsearswalmart
Let the next round begin! Now that these two retailers have a taste for blood, it’s time to sic them against each other in WCIA Ball Pit of Doom and Generalized Anxiety, But Mostly Doom!

In its first-round match-up, Sears (with corporate tag-team partner Kmart) brought down the hurt on poor little JCPenney (or is it “jcp”? The fact that no one seems to know or care is probably a good indicator of why it lost so badly), with the old-timey retailer taking in a truly impressive 77% of the vote. Sears may fail at delivering quality service, but it succeeded at delivering a first-round win.

But can it match that success in Round Two as it faces a more formidable foe in the form of Walmart? After all, Big W barely eked out an opening round victory over Best Buy, with only 58% of the vote. One would expect the country’s largest retailer to do a little better than that.

So is the stage set for a Round Two upset, or was Walmart merely biding its time, waiting to crush a more worthy opponent?

Only one way to find out — vote!

VOTING FOR THIS POLL IS NOW CLOSED. CONGRATULATIONS TO WALMART FOR MOVING ON TO THE QUARTERFINALS!
