Maytag Has A Weird Concept Of ‘Soon’

Soon.

Soon.

How do you define “soon” in terms of a one-year warranty? Howard doesn’t have an exact timeframe in mind, but he imagines that it’s not “more than nine months from now.” Yet when Maytag sent him a letter urging him to extend his appliance warranties, that’s how much time he had left.

Apparently it’s never too soon to begin an extended warranty. Howard sent us the above photo, and he writes:

The week of Black Friday I purchased 3 new Maytag appliances for my kitchen from Home Depot. Today I received a letter in the mail telling me my warranties were about to expire (2 months later) Upon opening it up it stated that 2 warranties would expire November of 2013, and 1 in October 2013. Is 10-11 months in Maytag’s book soon?

By the time you’ve had the appliances for three months, the warranty will practically be expired!
