Wireless Is Free On Delta As Long You're Buying Stuff From Amazon
There’s some good news for Delta Airlines passengers is that they’re offering free in-flight WiFi. Score! Oh but there’s a catch — it’s only free to view Amazon.com sites so you can buy stuff mid-air. Yay…?
Mashable reports on the terms of this sorta free deal, wherein travelers can visit Amazon.com and Amazonwireless.com for no charge. To use the site, customers open up their browsers and can access Amazon as well as some free news content.
“Delta continues to offer new technology and innovation that delivers on our customer preferences while they travel with us,” said Bob Kupbens, Delta’s vice president of marketing and digital commerce, in a statement. “Our customers enjoy our free content options in-flight and free access to Amazon provides a convenient way to shop online at 30,000 feet for things they want on the ground.”
This could be dangerous for shopaholics. Or hey, if you get bored, you can read through product reviews until you can’t handle anymore.
