Carlsberg Looking To Attract The Ladies With Beer In A Pretty Bottle
While the soda business is aggressively marketing toward men for the latest generation of diet drinks, the folks at Carlsberg, the brewery where the truck drivers went on strike for not being able to drink on the job, are trying to go after the gals’ cash, luring them toward their new beer in a pretty bottle.
“There may be situations where they are standing in a bar and want their drinks to match their style,” the company’s International Innovation Director says about its new Copenhagen beer. “In this case, they may well reject a beer if the design does not appeal to them.”
By that measure, the women at my local bar must really love the look of Bud Light.
